Jung and the Afterlife - with Les Stein

  • Mitchell Theatre, SMSA 280 Pitt St Sydney, NSW 2000 Australia (map)

The possibility of an afterlife is just as plausible as a cold, final death. Jung hinted that consciousness does not cease and this leads to the dual questions of what is indeed consciousness that may survive and what might that look like at the time of death.  Having regard to different traditions and Jung’s description of the Self as immortal, Les Stein will explore the concept of an afterlife and whether that is an idea that we can really entertain.

Les Stein is a Jungian Analyst in private practice in Sydney.  His book “Depth Psychology of the Mystical Experience” will be published shortly by Routledge in London.
