It’s a cold winter – a fireside chat? a Jungian Story with Heather Lesley-Swann

From ice-olation to transformation………that’s how Heather Lesley-Lesley-Swan describes some of the changes being a ‘Jungian’ has meant in her life.

Yes, we do know what Jung said about ‘Jungians’;   yet many of us have found  different lives by nurturing the spirit of Jung’s work in our hearts and minds.

Heather calls herself an Old Jungian, never a scholar, but inherently classical in her work from a Jungian-informed base.  Many have quite different views, and marvelously different experiences.

If you join this lecture you will have an opportunity to hear how Heather’s Jungian story is still alive and thriving, and hopefully you will have the opportunity to hear how Jung lives in the lives of others as well.

Heather Lesley-Swan is a Jungian Analytic Psychotherapist, and internationally certified Sandplay Therapist and Teacher.    She has presented at  public, in-house and University programs around Australia, and in USA, Singapore, China and Switzerland.   In 2015 she established the Australian New Zealand Institute for Sandplay Therapy to offer access to Jungian Sandplay Therapy training to therapists in Australia and New Zealand, which has resulted in a thriving community of therapists now taking Jung’s depth psychology into their practices.

Heather counts her 16 years practice as her third career, fourth if she counts the most important, being a mother and now grandmother of seven as being a ‘career’.   On setting aside early legal work she held director roles in major Australian companies in what was at the time called human resources, then ran her own international consultancy for a decade before marrying again, preferring to stay at home in Australia, and pursuing the passion of her Jungian focus.

Her qualifications include a law degree, masters degree in applied psychotherapy, post-grad qualifications in communications and in counseling, and various business related qualifications. She was the first Certified Sandplay Therapist then first Teaching Member in the Australia and New Zealand region.   In recent years she has enjoyed attending the CG Jung Institute, Zurich, and anticipates graduating as a Swiss-trained Jungian Analyst in early 2022.
