Zoom Presentation - Psychological Growth and the Duty for Social Action with Les Stein

We view psychological growth, individuation in Jungian terms, as a private journey.  It is undertaken in the milieu of a suffering society which needs to have a collective solution to its problems. For those of us who seek individuation and spiritual growth, how are we to relate to our community.  Do we have a positive duty to help and, if so, to what extent?

Leslie Stein is a Jungian Analyst in Sydney.  He also and Adj Professor of Urban Planning Law at the University of Sydney and has been a consultant to the UN, governments around the world, and the NSW government on achieving liveable communities.  He is the author of 11 books, including, as is relevant to this talk, The Self in Jungian Psychology: Theory and Clinical Practice; Comparative Urban Land Use Planning: Best Practice; and, most recently, “Collective Individuation” in M.Stein, Jung’s Red Book for Our Time.
