Antonio Canova - Cupid and Psyche

Our Psyche knows more than we realise! It may convey an answer to a personal problem or societal challenge, without us realising it. The messages, which are conveyed to us through the body, emotions, dreams, and intuitions are often puzzling and sometimes provocative. The messages, which are conveyed to us through the body, emotions, dreams, and intuitions are often puzzling and sometimes provocative. As societal beings we tend to be blind to these messages because they contain symbols, images, and allusions to personal stories. The danger in a society, which bases it knowledge on facts and evidence-based conclusions is, that we lose the connection to the deeper levels of our Soul. In my lecture I will argue that our psyche perceives more, than we are aware of. Psyche has its own way of relating to us through the body, mistakes, imagination, confusions, and irritations. These serve as mental movers, which help to broaden our mind and find answers, which might not concur to the mainstream society and culture. The goal is to appreciate our inner source of knowledge!
